This project is dedicated to Brent Ongman.
In the absence of a funeral during the COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing made communal gatherings impossible, I assembled images from his DIY wedding video. Removed from their original context, the images begin to resemble a funeral, shaped by love, ritual, and collective witnessing.
